Venue: Við Tjarnir

UArctic Congress 2026 and the Ocean Connectivity Conference will take place at Við Tjarnir, a modern multi-purpose arena located in Hoyvík, just outside Tórshavn (Atlagøta, 188 Hoyvík)

Opened in 2025, Við Tjarnir is the Faroe Islands’ newest and largest multi-purpose arena of its kind. All Congress sessions and plenaries will be held at the venue, providing a shared and purpose-built setting for the full academic programme. The arena offers contemporary and flexible facilities suited for parallel sessions, keynote events, and networking spaces.

Við Tjarnir is situated a short distance from the city centre of Tórshavn. Shuttle transportation between the venue and central Tórshavn will be arranged during the Congress. Further practical information will be provided closer to the event.
