Additional Information

Getting around Tórshavn
By bus
As the congress will take place at the arena Við Tjarnir, just outside Tórshavn, the Local Organising Committee will arrange buses to and from the venue throughout the conference days for the convenience of participants. More information will be announced at a later time.
City buses in Tórshavn (Bussleiðin) are free of charge and provide an easy way to get around the city.
If you are staying outside Tórshavn, most towns and villages across the Faroe Islands are connected by a public bus network operated by SSL (Strandfaraskip Landsins). For routes, timetables, and ticket information, please visit: www.ssl.fo/en
By car
If you plan to explore the Faroe Islands beyond Tórshavn, renting a car offers flexibility and convenient access to more remote areas. Several car rental companies operate across the islands. A full overview of available options can be found here.
Rent a bike
For participants who wish to explore Tórshavn and the surrounding area by bicycle, rental options are available through Rent a Bike. A total of 66 bicycles can be booked directly via their website, including e-bikes, mountain bikes (MTB), gravel & cross bikes, and road bikes.
Rent a Bike has kindly prepared a suggested route to the Congress venue with minimal traffic. The route map will be made available here.
