Accommodation in Tórshavn and surrounding areas is currently in very high demand during the Congress period, and hotel availability is now very limited.
Alternative Accommodation
As most hotels in Tórshavn are close to fully booked, we encourage participants to explore alternative accommodation options such as Vert (local short-term rentals) and Airbnb. Thanks to the Faroe Islands’ well-developed infrastructure – including subsea tunnels and bridges connecting most islands – staying outside Tórshavn can be a convenient and attractive option.
To support participants in finding a place to stay, we are collaborating with Vert.fo, a local accommodation platform, to help match participants with available housing options. These may include private rooms in a shared house, campervans, and other alternative arrangements.

Student accommodation
We have secured a limited number of rooms at the Faroese Folk High School, located in central Tórshavn. Please note that this option is available to students only.
Accommodation is offered in single and double rooms with shared facilities. The price is fixed for five nights (25-30 May) and includes breakfast. Towels and dinner can be added as optional extras. Read more about the rooms here.
