Media & Press

Accredited members of the media are welcome to participate in the UArctic Congress 2026 and Ocean Connectivity Conference.
Accreditation provides access to the Congress programme from 26-28 May 2026. There is no registration fee for accredited participants, but a catering fee of €100 will be applied upon registration which covers lunches, coffee/tea and snacks during all three days. While some receptions are included in press registration, an additional fee of €20 is charged for participation in the official opening reception on 26 May.
To qualify for press accreditation, you should be a staff reporter or a freelance journalist working for an established, recognized national or international news outlet (online, print, radio, TV) and intending to publish stories from the event for the news outlet.
If you are interested in joining the event as accredited press, please send a message to uarcticcongress@setur.fo with the subject line Press Accreditation Application, from your work email and include at least the following information:
- Your name, email, and phone number
- Brief bio (max 50 words)
- Name, brief description, and website of the news outlet you work for (i.e. in which your articles/reports from the event will be published)
- 2-3 examples of previous articles that you have written for the news outlet (links are sufficient), or link to a professional page with examples of previous articles
- Topics, people, sessions you are interested in covering during the event
All press accreditation applications will be reviewed and are subject to approval by the organizers. Applications are reviewed on an ongoing basis, and with accommodation being in high demand during the Congress,we encourage you to submit your application early. After approval, we will provide you with a link to register; please do not complete your registration as press until you hear from us.
Applications for accreditation can be sent until 10 May 2026. On-site accreditation will not be possible.
