Dean & Associate Professor, UArctic Chair in Indigenous and Northern Education and Vice Chair Verdde Indigenous Education Thematic Network

Dr. Sylvia Moore, PhD, is an Associate Professor at the School of Arctic and Subarctic Studies, Labrador Campus of Memorial University, UArctic Chair in Indigenous and Northern Education, and co-lead of the Verdde Indigenous Thematic Network. Her community-based research focuses on Indigenous-led education for self-determination and on decolonizing and Indigenizing education at all levels.
Dr. Moore will serve as keynote speaker together with Dr. Pál Weihe, in the thematic plenary session “Indigenous Peoples and Northern Communities”, taking place on 27 May at 09:00.
