Pál Weihe

Affiliated Professor in Public Health at the University of the Faroe Islands

Dr. Pál Weihe has led the Department of Occupational Medicine and Public Health in the Faroe Islands Hospital System for almost four decades. He is Adjunct Professor at the University of the Faroe Islands. Between 2005 and 2016, Dr. Weihe served as Chair of the Faroese Board of Public Health and has served as co-chair for Human Health Assessment Group under Arctic Monitoring and Assessment Programme (AMAP) for many years.

Dr. Weihe will serve as a keynote speaker, together with Dr. Sylvia Moore, in the thematic plenary session “Indigenous Peoples and Northern Communities”, taking place on 27 May at 09:00.
