Extended Abstract Deadline

We are pleased to announce that the deadline for abstract submissions has been extended to 15 January 2026. This gives you additional time to prepare and submit your contributions to the UArctic Congress 2026.

Registration Opening Soon

Registration for the UArctic Congress 2026 is expected to open in mid-January 2026.

The registration fees will be as follows:

  • Early bird: €550 (until 31 March)
  • Regular registration: €700 (from 1 April)
  • Student rate: €375

All registration categories will at minimum include lunch, receptions, as well as coffee, tea and snacks during the days.

The Congress registration also covers the Ocean Connectivity Conference which is organized by the Kingdom of Denmark's Chairship of the Arctic Council in partnership with UArctic and the University of the Faroe Islands and embedded in the Congress.

Persons from an underresourced organization and representatives of media can apply for a reduced fee by filling in a form (will be available when the registration opens).

Further details about registration deadlines, payment options, and what is included in the fee will be announced in early 2026.

Student Scholarships

Scholarships will be available for eligible students to support their participation in the UArctic Congress 2026. Further information about eligibility criteria and the application process will be announced in due course.

UArctic Assembly and Rectors’ Forum

UArctic’s annual members meeting, i.e. the UArctic Assembly, and the UArctic Rectors’ Forum are part of the Congress. Both events are covered by the Congress registration fee for eligible participants.

Accommodation: Hotel discount codes are already available on our website to help you secure accommodation at preferential rates. We recommend booking early, as availability in Tórshavn during the Congress dates may be limited.
