Jorid Hammersland

Mrs. Jorid Hammersland is part of the Swedish team for the incoming chairship in the Arctic Council 2027–2029. She was born in Norway in 1970 but has a 30-year professional career in Sweden, working with environmental, marine, and climate issues from the municipal level to international fora, most recently as Environment and Climate Attaché for the Swedish government in Brussels. She holds a degree in Nature Management from the Norwegian University of Life Sciences, which also included studies at the University of Alaska Fairbanks.
